I believe that lasting progress comes from understanding, not just repetition. When students learn how to notice, think, and solve musical problems for themselves, growth becomes both more meaningful and more enjoyable.
My teaching combines technical excellence, artistic expression, and practical practice strategies in an encouraging, individualized environment. Together we’ll build the skills, confidence, and curiosity that allow beautiful playing to emerge naturally.

No two students learn in exactly the same way.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all method, I work to understand how each student thinks, learns, and experiences music. Every lesson is tailored to meet students where they are while helping them discover what’s possible.
Whether we’re developing tone, refining technique, preparing for an important performance, or simply rediscovering the joy of making music, the goal is always the same: helping students become thoughtful, confident, and expressive musicians.

A Lifetime of Music
For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of teaching, performing, and collaborating with musicians in educational, professional, and community settings. Those experiences continue to shape my teaching, but the most rewarding part of my work has always been watching students discover what they’re capable of.
